Dryer Vent Cleaning

Dryer Vent Cleaning

Drying clothes is, in some homes, a daily activity. We’ve became so use to using the dryer but we overlook a very important component that has to be maintained regularly, the dyer vent. A periodic dryer vent cleaning is the best way to maintain the dryer machine and preventing fires or clogs that could also ruin the machine or your clothes.

Dryer Vent Cleaning - Before & After

What is the Dryer Vent?

The dryer vent is an exhaust vent for the clothes drying machine. When you put your clothes in the dryer and press start, hot air is drying the clothes, releasing the water from the clothes as moisture. The moist air is released through the dryer vent outside, until clothes are dry. Without the dryer vent, clothes cannot be dried without causing water damage to the laundry room.

Prevent Fires With Dryer Vent Cleaning

When using the clothes dryer, you must have noticed the lint collected in the filter after every load. Though the filter is very efficient, its not trapping 100% of the lint. The main purpose of the dryer vent is to lead the hot moist air outside but with that it carries lint particles, sticking to the inside of the dryer vent, building up slowly. If dryer vent cleaning is not preformed periodically, the lint buildup will clog the vent, trapping the hot air and could ignite the lint and cause a fire.
